NZDBA National Champs 2011
Teams from around New Zealand (and even across the Tasman!) competed at Nationals in Rotorua on Saturday 26th March. More... See the [past] Race Pack.
In the Women's Division 500 meter final, "CS Wairarapa" edged out the Jaffettes (from Auckland) by 0.1 sec, with "PaddleBops" taking Bronze. 
Top National Secondary School team was Epsom Girls Grammar (Auckland) over Marian College (from Christchurch in the Girls Division. Meanwhile Shirley Boys retain their National Championship title. Heretaunga College emerged as Mixed Schools Champion over Upper Hutt Storm (in the 500m Racing), but in the 200 metre Sprints, Upper Hutt beat Heretaunga by 0.6 sec.

News League Table 2010-11: is now out (download) NZDBA Nationals 2012: Several teams are already registered as Entries to NZDBA Nationals at Lake Hood this March... Teams are making Motel bookings in the Ashburton area already... Sweeps at Nationals Teams (including BCS and Women's Division) should all provide their own Sweep at Nationals. NZDBA will provide Pool Sweeps but only to cover in the case of injury, emergency or race conditions rule out the Team Sweep. More... Interested in Paddling? Upgrade your paddles
Remember that any team competing at the Nationals must use IDBF spec paddles. They can still use the old Gull-style palm grips in regional regatta or festival, but by the end of the season they should be re-equiping themselves with the new lighter faster paddles.
