NZDBA National Championships

National Dragon Boating Champs for the 2010-11 season were at the Blue Lakes near Rotorua on Saturday 26-March-11 (Adults and Schools).

Note, while Currumbin (from QLD) posted a faster time, overseas teams do not qualify for NZ National Champion status. Moreover they do not take the trophy (just the glory!)

  • Hamilton City Watersports are the 2010 "Champion of Champions"
  • Tu Meke Dragons (Christchurch) are runners up (Adults)
  • Ridge Riders Under 23 (Christchurch) - third place (Adults)

Christchurch Schools cleaned up the Secondary Schools Championships:

Teams were sent a preliminary "Race Information Pack" in December to assist with their planning, and then an updated Pack sent 21 March 11.
