NZ teams earn ranking points based on the results of regatta they attend. The CURRENT standing will be shown in this table. It is currently BLANK because we are in our Winter recess, but will be updated as results are supplied.
Note the most recent season, (ending in April 2011) includes NZDBA Nationals and Aoraki South Island Champs, which were delayed into April due to the Earthquake. Click here for printable version, including team placings in major events.

In 2009, NZDBA Treasurer Tery Hardwicke developed a formula for ranking. It compensates for teams who decide not to compete at, say, Nationals and when a team 'gets lucky' or 'has a bad day'. While a win is important (and has bragging rights) it doesn't neccessarily point to the best team.
All NZDBA affiliated teams are rated out of a possible 480 points. If a team races at less events, they receive a statistical aggregate. If they race at more events, only the best results are counted.
