NZDBA Board welcomes any recognised bona fide dragon boat teams to our meetings (please email for details). Remember that you will generally have 'observer status' (no voting rights) but I would hope that you will feel comfortable contributing to the discussions.

NZDBA Board hits the road...

Until recently, the committee has been meeting in Auckland (as most of the board live there or in the Waikato). But we are ‘taking it on the road’ for the next few months. So we would love to see paddlers join us in the following meetings. Meeting dates are:

• Sunday 2-Oct-11 in Christchurch 12:30 – 4 pm (at Airways, Russley)
• Saturday 12-Nov-11 Wellington 12:30 – 4 pm (at Airways, cnr Willis and Boulcott St)
• Saturday 17-Dec-11 Auckland about 1 pm to 5 pm (times and venue TBC).

The board convenes a little earlier each day to go over procedural business, but we'd love to see you there...

NZDBA Annual General Meeting

WAS on Saturday 23-July-11. Business included BOM reports * Financial Report and financial statement * General Business - including a Review of the National Championships, and the future direction of NZDBA. *

Three Nominations for Board of Management positions were presented from the floor:

• Tery Hardwicke has acted as honorary Treasurer this past year, and has agreed to formally join the board
• Natalie Fowlie has worked very hard for Auckland DBA and for NZDBA as Race Director at Nationals
• Ricky Greave, also from Auckland, brings a wealth of experience and skills to the board

All six current Board Membershave opted to continue, so the full contingent of nine Directors are now filled.
